As per Dr Hemant Pathak Indian Physician, one of the most effective home-based natural remedies to treat allergies is castor oil. Castor Oil contains Vitamin E and Omega 6 essential fatty acids. Moreover, it cures allergies as it helps retain moisture.   

How to consume Castor Oil: 

Add five drops of Castor Oil in half a cup of plain water, fruit or vegetable juice and drink it on an empty stomach. You should drink this in the morning to prevent allergies in the intestinal tract, nasal passage or skin. 

Moreover, there are a lot of cases reported who got cured due to this natural remedy for allergy protection. 

2. Lime 

For any kind of allergy – Lime is a very popular Ayurvedic home remedy – also used by modern doctors and dieticians. Lime contains a high percentage of Vitamin C, It is able to provide 20% of our daily needs.

How to consume Lime: 

Take a glass of lukewarm water and squeeze half a lime in it. Add a teaspoon of honey or raw sugar to sweeten it. Most importantly, you could drink this every day, first thing in the morning for more than six months.

Carrots were first cultivated in Afganistan thousands of years ago. They contain an antioxidant known to provide Vitamin C. Moreover Vitamin C contributes to the production of collagen. Vitamin C is present in immune cells. Thus, it helps to keep your immune system healthy.  

Consuming carrot juice daily is very helpful in the treatment of allergies.

Carrot, Beet and Cucumber: 

You should consume mixed juices daily. Let us understand the proportion advised for consumption. 

How to Consume Carrot, Beet and Cucumber Juices?

Consume a quantity of 500 ml of carrot juice daily. 

If you want to consume a combination of juices the proportion should be as follows: 

Beet: 100 ml

Cucumber: 100 ml

Carrot: 300 ml 

Total mixed Juice: 500 ml or 1/2 litre 

4. Bananas

Bananas are one of the best natural remedies to treat allergies. If you suffer from allergies to a certain food or suffer from skin rashes, asthma or digestive disorders the best way to prevent them is by eating bananas.

How to Consume Bananas? 

Eat one or two ripe bananas every day. 

5. Nutrients

If you consume certain nutrients in the right proportion for a certain period of time they are extremely beneficial in the prevention and treatment of allergies.  

As per records – the consumption of Vitamin B, E or pantothenic acid brings great relief to allergies. 

How to Consume Nutrients like Vitamin B and E? 

Vitamin B: 100 mg to be consumed daily for a month.  

OR

Vitamin E: 400 mg to be consumed daily for 4-6 weeks. This vitamin contains anti-allergic properties and is very beneficial. 

Pantothenic Acid: Liberal amounts of Pantothenic acid has an even recovery. However, always remember it takes several weeks before you recover. 

6. Dietary Considerations

Those of you out there who are staying at home and who want to prevent allergies – the best way is to build or strengthen your overall physical resistance.  If your body is strong enough – it will not succumb to every allergen that comes its way. What are the dietary considerations? 
Step1 (4-5 days):

To start – for the first 4-5 days fast on fresh fruit juices. 

Repeat these short juice fasts to increase tolerance in case you have previous allergies. 

Step 2 (1st Week): 

After you finish with the fresh fruit juice fast start a mono-diet of fruits and vegetables. These could be apples, grapes and carrots for a week. 

Step 3 (2nd Week): 

After one week of Step 2 – add one more food to the mono-diet.

Step 4 (3rd Week): 

After Step 3 – Second food could be added to the mono-diet.

Step 5 (4th Week): 

Add a third food to the mono-diet. 

Step 6: 

After the 4th Week is over, you could add protein foods to the diet one at a time. 

The moment you see an allergic reaction to a food you newly introduced – discontinue the same and introduce a new food in its place. 

In this manner, you will be able to eliminate all new allergens from your diet. 

Note: 

Foods you should exclude from your diet are: 

  • Coffee, Tea, Cola Drinks, Chocolate, Sugar and products made from it.
