Drink-manjal-Kashayam-to-boost-immune-system-recipe

If you are looking for the perfect drink to boost your immune system – you are in the right place. It is rare to know of someone who has not suffered from common cold or cough. Cold and cough occur mainly due to tiny infectious things called a virus. You will be surprised to know there are more than 200 types of virus. The most common being the rhinovirus. Moreover, there are viruses like coronavirus, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus and parainfluenza.

Why do we need A Strong Immune System?

You usually catch a cold when a virus attaches itself to the lining of either your throat or nose. It is during this time your immune system defends against the germs. Thus sending out white blood cells to fight with the virus invading your nose or throat. Because your throat is inflamed due to the virus it makes a lot of mucus. Therefore, making you feel tired and weak. Reason for the fatigue is – your body’s energy is spent fighting with the virus. If you do not have a strong immune system it is not able to defend the germs causing cold and cough symptoms to arise.

Remember, you are prone to catch a cold when you are extremely tired or have allergies in the nose, throat or under emotional turmoil. This is the time when your Immune System is tested. Kids are normally more prone to catching a cold or flu because they come in close proximity to other kids. Moreover, kids do not always sneeze in their handkerchiefs and nor do they regularly wash hands before eating.

Thus, it is extremely important to understand what to drink and how to make it in order to boost your Immune System.
